This is the first of a mini series in the book of Jude given by Dr. Dann Masters, senior pastor at Fruitland Road Church
Jude’s salutation or introduction offers 3 lessons
I The Author’s Example of Proper Discipleship, Jude 1:1a

II. The Author’s Explanation Of How People Are Saved, Jude 1
A. Three ways people are saved.
1.They are called. If you are not called you are not saved, and if you are saved, you have been called. You are His by invitation only. I Cor.
2.The called or saved, are loved by God the Father. I Cor. 2:9
3.The saved are called, loved, and kept by Jesus Christ. We did not get into the kingdom by our efforts, nor are we kept in the kingdom by our efforts!
III. The Author’s Prophetic Expectation for the Saved, Jude 1:2
There is 1) mercy, 2) peace, 3) love.
Conclusion: Jude is writing to 1st century Jewish Christians, but his message is the same for all Christians in the 21st century. I urge you to read these 2 verses over and over and claim the promises in them before God.
